We all scream for swine flu!
A school in Chicago closed because of it. Not my school--which I am very glad for, because we'd have to make up any lost days in June--but we did have a girl submit herself to the emergency room and later, the school clinic. The tests came back negative. My class went better without her, though.
Speaking of June, we're moving back to California! Any suggestions for places we should stop on the drive west?

How about driving west on historic Route 66? When you get to Santa Monica turn north to Hwy 101. It will be quite an adventure. You and Patrick will have a many interesting stories and photos to share and when you arrive in S.F.

Thanks for the suggestion, Uncle Don! I didn't realize that Route 66 doesn't even exist anymore (well, it's called different things in different sections). That helps explain why I got so lost last time I tried to follow it. :) We're going to go to Patrick's mom's house in Iowa first, so Route 66 is too far south for us this time. I'm still looking for good places to spend the night (and maybe half a day) in Nebraska or eastern Colorado.
